I Love Alaska Photography Competition

“I Love Alaska” is a photographic initiative launched by Marike and some of her architecture classmates. An analysis into the social capital of the Alaska community in Eastern Mamelodi was done by handing out disposable cameras to some of the youth in the area. They were given the task of capturing the things they love most about Alaska. Seeing the community through their eyes really gave great insight to students’ project.

A big thank you also to Eben from “Disposable Camera” for sponsoring the disposable cameras! Be sure to contact him if you are interested in getting some of these for your wedding!

Franklin Photography also got involved by sponsoring the prizes which included a digital camera to the most promising photographer in the study. Congratulations to the talented Alpheus Sedibeng! We will journey with him over the next few weeks and look forward to see him develop as a young photographer.
